In Da Hood

Who says that you have to travel far to find a good subject to photograph.  I took all of the photos in today's posting within thirty minutes of my home (most even closer than that).  So please enjoy some images of my hood! 

A Time to Remember

Memorial Day is May 31st.  This is a day to reflect on the sacrifices of those that have fought and died to protect the liberties and values that we Americans cherish so much.  It is easy to forget that so many have shed their blood for us and it is the least we can do to set aside one day a year to remember them.  I took all of the photos in this post on battlefields where our fellow citizens gave their lives.

Details, Details, Details

Sometimes you can convey the character of a subject better by selecting a few of its smaller details than you can by showing the whole.  Doing so helps the viewer focus on what makes the subject important, what makes it unique.  Therefore, I choose details as my theme today...
